Sabert Corporation Introduces New Centralized Product Distribution Point for Midwest U.S.

New Distribution Center to Provide Greater Shipping Efficiencies and Reduce Environmental Impact of Product Delivery

SAYREVILLE, N.J., April 18, 2022 – As part of its continued expansion and focus on sustainability, Sabert Corporation, a global leader in innovative and sustainable food packaging solutions, recently announced the opening of a new, 389,400 square foot distribution center in the greater Chicago, Illinois area. This facility becomes Sabert’s fourth domestic distribution center and enables the company to more quickly and efficiently get its increasing number of products to its expanding roster of customers in the Midwest U.S. and western Canada.

This Chicago location joins Sabert’s three other U.S.-based distribution centers in New Jersey, Kentucky and California. The new location also centralizes the distribution point for three of Sabert’s manufacturing facilities in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky, which are all within 300 miles of this new distribution point. Moving forward, many of Sabert’s customers across the Midwest and Canada will begin to see improved shipping cycles, consolidated shipments and increased efficiency.

Beyond improving logistics for Sabert customers, this new distribution center will also deliver significant positive environmental impacts by minimizing freight, reducing travel, optimizing loads and reducing CO₂ emissions. A member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay program, Sabert’s addition of this Chicago-based distribution point will reduce the distance Sabert travels to ship its products by more than 215,000 miles annually.
